
Open Water Course
From $699 + eLearningThe PADI Open Water course is the entry level scuba certification. The course combines eLearning study at home, and practical training in our pool and 4 dives at the Poor Knights Islands.

This program will prepare you to dive independently as a certified diver.
You will need to complete 8 to 10 hours of PADI eLearning at home and download the PADI App, prior to the course. The $300 PADI eLearning fee can be purchased through our booking page, or directly from PADI.
Learn the fundamental scuba skills in a low-stress pool environment, then apply those skills on your four open water dives to a maximum of 18 metres. Upon completion you will receive a PADI eCard.
Pool training takes place on site, open water dives occur at the Poor Knights Islands.
Please note that you will be required to complete a 200m swim and a 10 minute survival float in order to complete this course. You should have basic in water skills before completing this course to ensure you are comfortable and safe.

Why learn to dive with Dive Tutukaka?
We are only 2.5 hours away from Auckland, and we have everything on site. Training is done in our saltwater pool and from our boats that access the best dive sites in New Zealand. We have well maintained gear, with 7 mm wetsuit and 4 mm hooded vest to keep you warm. Over a 3-day weekend, you will get to experience amazing marine life while completing your dive course.
