The Deep Diving Specialty is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to safely explore deeper underwater environments. As depth increases, divers experience greater pressure, reduced bottom time, increased gas consumption, and changes in buoyancy and nitrogen absorption.
During the specialty, divers learn how to plan and conduct deeper dives while maintaining good buoyancy control, monitoring air supply, and managing their dive time. The course also introduces the effects of increased depth, including nitrogen narcosis and the importance of controlled ascents and appropriate safety stops.
You will need to complete the PADI eLearning, prior to the course. The $300 PADI eLearning fee can be purchased through our booking page, or directly from PADI.
