Tane Moana, the largest Kauri tree on the East coast!

Tane Moana was named last year, and last week, a passionate group of people managed to get this boardwalk built around the legendary kauri to protect his roots.

Came for 1 day, stayed another, went north and came back for another day!  Been at my unfair share of sh!t hot dive destinations in my travel year and Dive! Tutukaka are by far the best and most pro!  Hopefully again…..
