Luke dives the hard way.

Harry Guy has an old dive suit, Keith Gordon has the helmet, and after months of planning and preparation, a dive went ahead in an indoor pool. Training for a dive at the Poor Knights...? Maybe!

Here Lukes gets the helmet on - not for the fainthearted - and VERY heavy.

Actually I have a new suit, the TF-12 here, but the design is the same as the suits made by Mackintosh for Augustus Siebe in the 19th century. I do have an old helmet (1915 Siebe Gorman) that we do dive, but it is a bit tricky compared with Keith’s new TF-12 helmet shown here. Like when you look up there is no top port, and it is easy to bang into things like the bottom of the boat! And it is easier to get too buoyant and shoot to the surface like a missile and bang into the boat so hard it ruins your day.  But man the Siebe Gorman helmet is cool! You will soon be able to see it in an ocean near you.

Thank you so much guys.  Sam and Debbie were perfect handling us.  Even though we had some buoyancy troubles, it all got sorted and made for a perect day!  I’ll be sure to recommend you to my shop back home.  Thanx!
