A birds nest in Tutukaka!

Sometimes you just gotta see stuff to believe it! We heard about the giant Rugby Ball in Paris, now there was a TUI's nest in TUTUKAKA!

Tourism NZ are travelling around the country with a mobile video editing suite, inviting people to pop inside a giant bird’s nest, and leave a message for their friends and family.

You step inside a editing suite that is soundproofed, and on the outside it has been made to look like a bvird’s nest; a tui bird in fact.

You can create a video postcard to your family back home where ever they are, include some of your recent holiday snaps, and then within minutes it is edited, a soundtrack is laid over, and the clip is uploaded to YouTube and to Facebook!

Fantastic idea, and we were stoked to host them here in Tutukaka. The ten tonne flatbed truck with a container on the back, morphed into a very cool looking bird’s nest within minutes!
