Weather report for Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th of August 2011
Looks pretty nice on Saturday with a SW and a westerly of about 10 knots dropping away midday, and changing direction to come from the northwest in teh afternoon - about 105-15 knots.
The northerly doesn’t last long though, and gets up to about 20 knots before turning back from the south west around late afternoon, and 15-20 knots. Scattered rain is forecast too.
Monday will be 10 knots south west, and Tuesday will be 10 knots and dropping.
Great conditions for the Sandy Bay surf comp on Saturday, but the swell is dying back to under a metre by Sunday.
Go the All Blacks on Saturday night!
Our boats go 364 days of the year unless weather conditions prevent us from going. We have a strong eye on the coast up here, and often the pattern is different out at the Islands.
Our experienced crew make the call on the morning of the dive day, generally around 7am.
Keep in touch with our base 0800 288 882 the day prior to your dive.
