Weather Report for Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th of January - plus a little bit beyond! ![]()
This westerly pattern we have been having fluctuates a bit over the weekend, but stays at about 10 - 15 knots NW.
We have an easterly swell of about 2 metres, which the surfers are pretty amped about, and it may just bring some more blue water in too!
The cloudy sky tells of rain, but don’t expect much on the Tutukaka Coast until about maybe Wednesday, when we see this NW turn to a NE of about 20 knots, at lunchtime, and 25 knots in the late evening, dropping back to 15 knots again by Thursday afternoon.
Forward through to next weekend, we have a westerly flow back of about 15 knots some northerly and a swing to the south.
The visibility is 15 plus metres, with 19 degrees on the surface, and 18 at depth.
Our boats go 364 days of the year unless weather conditions prevent us from going. We have a strong eye on the coast up here, and often the pattern is different out at the Islands.
Our experienced crew make the call on the morning of the dive day, generally around 7am.
Keep in touch with our base 0800 288 882 the day prior to your dive.

Cheers James and BiancaGuys, thanks for a great day. We felt comfortable and safe the whole time and saw some amazing things we’d never seen before. You have a great service and nothing is too much trouble. Great hot chocolate!!!
