Shearwaters, seals, jasons nudibranchs, schooling john dory, and blue blue skies, with salty sunkissed skin!
A humpback whale spent a couple of hours mooching around Whangarei Harbour yesterday. It is thought it was the first humpback seen in the harbour.
A bit off the beaten track - okay, it is totally off beat. But we LOVE him! Proud of AirNZ doing some funky stuff too just quietly.
Orca came in nice and close at the Poor Knights Islands yesterday, we had RoundTop and Porky come play!
We are loving having these Tursiops truncatus around for the last five days.
Three boats out today, and each of them saw or swum with dolphins. Curious pod of seven bottlenose, just hanging out in Maroro Bay.
The fish life is incredible. Schooling snapper, in their hundreds, break the surface feeding on krill and plankton; a behavior not recorded elsewhere.
