Conservation is the cornerstones of our Dive! philosopy, reflected in everything we do.

We take our responsibility as atawhai (guardian) of our local marine environment very seriously, and we have bought real environmental management into all aspects of our operations.

We are committed to

• Reducing pollution, emissions and waste.
• Continually improving our own environmental performance.
• Encouraging our crew and community to get involved.
• Building strong relationships with our local and international stakeholders.
• Participating in conservation and environmental discussions.
• Complying with all related legislation and codes of best practice.
• Always assessing the environmental impact of our operations, in the past, present and future.
• Montoring our progress and reviewing our performance every year.

Some of the things we do

• Actively investigate our renewable energy options.
• Use rechargeable batteries
• Use reusable tank valve protectors (eliminating plastic tape waste)
• NAVman systems on all boats to improve fuel efficiency.
• Started a tree planting programme to offset our carbon footprint
• First activity provider in NZ to achieve Qualmark EnviroGold recognition.
• Lobbying for World Heritage Status for the Poor Knights Islands.
• Involved with the Experience Marine Reserves programme at Ngunguru School, and other schools throughout Northland.
• Providing interpretive briefings to create awareness, appreciation and understanding of the environment.
• Create artificial reefs along the Tutukaka Coast (the HMNZS Tui and HMNZS Waikato)
